Contract/Sales Agreement

KITTEN SALES CONTRACT

  1. Kitten purchased will be cared for in the best manner possible at all times.
  2. Kitten will never be sold or given to any other person, people, agent(s), pet store, lab, humane society or organization without the written consent of the original vendor. Kitten (cat) will be returned to the breeder if/when the pet owner is no longer able/willing to care for the kitten (cat).
  3. All veterinary requirements are to be met. This includes "shots" for the common feline diseases such as calicci, feline rhino tracheitis, and panleukopenia, as well as emergency requirements such as accidents or unexpected infections and/or other health problems.We DO NOT RECOMMEND chlamydia vaccine.
    **PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT ALLOW TO BE GIVEN/DO NOT GIVE FeLV nor FIP vaccine to this kitten under any circumstances or our health guarantee is null and void.
  4. Kitten, (cat) is never to be "declawed" or tattooed. Microchipping is encouraged once the kitten is old enough to have the procedure done with as little discomfort as possible.
  5. "Pet potential" kitten (cat) will only be placed once altered. Proof of such altering will be provided in the form of a certificate from a veterinarian, signed and dated, describing the kitten, (cat) in question. Pet kittens will be spayed/neutered prior to placement.
  6. "Show potential" kitten (cat) may be shown as a whole kitten (cat) until such time as it is in constant heat (in the case of a female), or begins spraying or showing aggressive behaviour (in the case of a male). At such time the kitten (cat) may only be bred with the written consent of the vendor, and within the terms of a breeding agreement (a separate agreement NOT this present agreement). The kitten (cat) may be spayed or neutered at any time upon notification of, and with the agreement of, the breeder prior to altering.
  7. "Show potential" kitten(s) will be shown in recognized cat fancy sponsored shows, if and when the purchaser is able to do so. An attempt to Grand Champion any such kitten, once it becomes an adult, is expected upon becoming an adult.
  8. The purchaser of a "show potential" kitten agrees to attempt to maintain membership in the appropriate breed association, either the Tonkinese Breed Association or one of the Korat Breed Associations, and to uphold and abide by the policies of the applicable association.
  9. The purchaser agrees to keep the kitten, (cat) indoors at all times unless in a carrier, in a halter with an attached leash and accompanied at all times by a competent handler, or in an escape proof enclosure.
  10. The purchaser agrees to return the kitten, (cat) to the breeder if the animal can no longer be kept and cared for or in the event that the animal is no longer wanted.
  • N.B. KLAHZ Korats and Tonkinese reserves the right to repossess the kitten (cat) if the animal is being abused, mistreated or neglected or if any of the terms of this contract are not met. Litigation will be in the jusridiction of the breeders, EC Risberg and J Ypma.
