Klahz Retired Fur Friends

At Klahz we sometimes have fur friends who are looking for a "Forever Home" to become THE IMPORTANT FUR PERSON for that someone special. Here are our current fur friends who are on the hunt for YOU!

NOTE: All retired Klahz cats are altered (spayed/neutered) before going to a new home. They are sent with a current veterinary health certificate, a contract/sales agreement (covering what our expectations are and what you can expect from Carine and John at Klahz), a pedigree and registration. We have many years of love and caring attached to these retired fur friends of ours and are looking for a perfect match for them and you. We will NOT place a retired friend with you, if we are not comfortable with you after discussion and getting to know you, as we always try to do for our fur friends, what is in THEIR best interests.

CH Klahz Mistyblue Snowcub

Also known as Cubby, this guy is a lovebug! He LOVES "people company" just as much if not more than kitty company! Cubby is a Platinum Mink Tonkinese born December 6th, 1999. He has sired a number of kittens and is ready to try being  a loved pet. His real name is Klahz Mistyblue Snowcub.

Cubby is a boy with a sweet but strong disposition and will. He is happiest when someone is paying attention to her. He enjoys the company of other cats once he gets acquainted with them. He does tend to try to be a guy around the girls however, so being an only cat might be the best for him. He is happy to be held and picked up although when  it is time in his opinion to be off and running again it is a good idea to let him go and do what he is intent on doing.

He is an agile and active cat. He loves to play and run and jump. He has no food issues nor does he have any health problems. His eye tends to water because of a crushed tear duct, a remnant of an upper respiratory infection he had as a kitten. The eye needs occasional wiping in order to keep the fur below his eye dry. There are no medicatons required though.

Clipping claws is not a chore. Cubby is good to sit during this process as long as the human is persistent, gentle and firm.

CH Klahz Mistyblue IceDancer

We are thrilled to announce that...DANCER moved in with Shoeb and Kari in Minneapolis on Tuesday, October 24th and has found her new forever home there!

Also known as Dancer, this Blue Point Tonkinese girl is crazy and loving! She LOVES "people company" and kitty company! Dancer was born December 6th, 1999. She has had several litters of kittens and is also ready to be  a loved pet.

Dancer has a laid back temperament and the usual "Blue" tonk crazy streak. She is as happy on her own playing with a toy or running crazily around the room as she is when someone is paying attention to her. She does enjoy the company of he human family and loves to be petted and hugged. She is happy to be held and picked up and will sleep contentedly on just about anyone's lap whenever she can find one that is still enough to settle onto.

She is an active, agile cat who loves to play, run and jump. Dancer has no "issues", is not a picky eater and does not have any health problems.

Clipping claws is easy, as Dancer is calm about having it done. Clipping her claws regularly will assure that she will not develop any problem with any pet owner continuing to do it.

CH Payfurpurr's Polly Pawzworthy of Klahz

This Champagne Point Tonkinese girl known as Polly, is a quiet, unassuming gentle fur kid! She likes "people company" but enjoys her own independent time more at least at this point while she is part of a large cat and human family. That could very well (and likely will) change once she is the only fur person in her special "forever" home.

Polly was born May 26th, 2000. She has had kittens, has been shown and has been living with a large cat family which seems to make her feel insecure at times.

Although it seems that Polly has a laid back temperament we think that she has a lack of self confidence with other cats around. She is happiest it seems on her own when she is being left alone by the other cats. She does enjoy the company of he human family and likes to be petted and but not hugged. Polly has the occasional "accident" when other cats are around and she feels the need to use the litterbox. At those times we sometimes find a "gift" of stool on the outside of the box. We believe that this "accidental" depositing will stop when she no longer feels any threat from other cats. However, as with ALL learned behaviour it will take human beings with patience and compassion to help Polly become the self-confident cat we know she has been before.

She is a quiet cat who occcasionally will play, run and jump. Polly has only the one "issue", is not a picky eater and does not have any health problems.

Clipping claws can be a challenge with her, as Polly is not thrilled with anyone touching her paws. Doing it regularly and in a calm patient way, giving her time in between claws, will most likely teach her that she CAN allow a pet owner to do it.

GrCh Jamcats Marilla of Klahz

Always known as Tobie since she came here as a kitten, she is a big, strong, Platinum Mink Tonkinese girl. She likes "people company" and can get along with other cats although depending on the kitty, Tobie can have an "attitude".

Tobie was born June 12th, 2001. She has had kittens, has been shown and is a very self-confident cat who likes to play and enjoys a good lap too.

She is an active cat who will play, run and jump. Tobie has no "issues", is not a picky eater and does not have any health problems.

Tobie tolerates claw clipping and as long as you are firm with her and in control, it is not an issue.

GrCh Jadeye's Al Capone of Klahz

Known as Al since he came here as a 4 month old kitten, this is a big, strong, silver blue, green eyed Korat boy. He likes "people company" and "cat company" and until he is totally comfotable he can have an "attitude".

Al was born June 15th, 1997. Al flew to us from Rome, Italy. He was entrusted to us by well known and respected FiFe breeder and judge, Donatella Mastroangelo. He has sired a number of kittens and he has been shown to Grand Champion in ACFA. Al is a self-confident cat who still likes to play and enjoys a good lap too.

He is a moderately active cat who can still play, run and jump even though he is getting past being a kid. Al has no "issues", he is not a picky eater and does not have any health problems.

Al does not care for claw clipping and if you take him to the vet or a vet tech to have it done regularly, it will not be an issue for a pet owner.

ErosII of Klahz

Wahoo! Great news! * * * Eros has found a new forever home in British Columbia and moved there Friday October 27th! His new mom Pat is ecstatic! Eros is a LOVEBUG and LOVES PAt! * * *

Eros came to us as a 2 year old whole male with his brother Chumley.

Denis Swisher, who bred some very nice Korats needed to find a home for the two boys and we agreed to foster them for a while. Eventually Denis decided they should stay with us and we thank him for allowing us to have them. The only way we could tell Eros from his brother, was by a small bare space on Eros' tail where he had lost the single coat of hair and it seemed it did not want to reappear. Both boys were lovely Korats otherwise, silver blue, green eyed and gentle enough that they continued to live together for another two years before Eros began to act out in a negative fashion towards his brother. Eros used to be quite shy and somewhat lacking in confidence as a whole male, taking to only one or two people, never being much of a people cat. Now, as a neutered boy and given a bit of adjustment time, he thoroughly likes "people company" and "cat company". At present Eros is sleeping under the duvet every night AFTER he gets cuddle and play time!

Eros was born November 21, 1996, making him a senior citizen this year. He flew to us from San Diego, California, with some help from Karen McNulty (Dragonslair), arriving in Minneapolis on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. He has sired a number of kittens but he was never shown, due to the missing bit of hair. Eros has become much more self-confident since being neutered. He still likes to play, loves being cuddled and petted and enjoys a good lap especially when the weather turns cool. Bonus! The hair that was missing on his tail is returning after all this time. See what self confidence can do!

Eros can be an active cat. He enjoys play, will run and jump when interacting with a cat wand or other cats, once he gets the chance to feel somfortable with a new human. Eros does enjoy play and it is a good way to let him get some extra exercise!. He has no "issues", is not a picky eater and does not have any health problems.

He tolerates claw clipping, with patience and love from the person doing the job.
